Philip & Tessa say I Do!
saturday october 11th, 2008: what a beautiful day it was! the air was cool, even a little too cool for a while, and the skies were clear. a perfect day for the coming together of two lives... and what better lives than those of philip and tessa! i was absolutely thrilled when this couple asked me to document their wedding day. right when i met tessa and philip, i knew their wedding would be a time to remember. these two are SO in love and it was so evident to everyone this past saturday. their quaint and elegant backyard wedding was full of special traditions and details that they wanted to share with their loved ones. it was such an honor to be there capturing all of the special moments they shared with eachother and their guests. enjoy this small sampling of the photos:the wedding was decorated with these lovey red, white, and yellow gerber daisies.they even grew out of the ground, lining the center aisle perfectly! how cool is that?!i could not get enough of these funky beautiful tables kind of a random shot, but i just HAD to highlight this TO DIE FOR fabric they used to tent the dance floor... i fell in love with it. and no, the leaves are not part of the design.and heeeeerrreeee is tessa, the stunning bride!loved the back of her dress.and the handsome groom:the beautiful ceremony:kissin his bride! the toasts were SO special... a few even had me tearin up behind the camera.first dance as the new mr and mrs!one tradition philip and tessa wanted to share with their guests was their love of rootbeer floats! instead of a wedding cake, they had the servers come to each table individually and prepare each guest their very own rootbeer float, complete with whip cream and a cherry on top! how perfectly wonderful.the bride and groom enjoying their favorite treat! a huge thanks goes out to my assistant, jamie. what a trooper. thanks girl.and a HUGE congrats goes out to philip and tessa! you two were such a joy to work with and i loved being able to watch your love for eachother be reflected through such a perfect evening. i cannot thank you enough for this opportunity. (but i can try) thank you thank you thank you!!!
