once again, you know you're pathetic when...

5. giftcard to kinkos (are you kidding me?!)

wow. i've reached a new level folks.

i realized the extent of my "nerdy-ness" a few days ago when i was asked to send out a birthday list to some family members. i'd have to say the funniest thing on there is the kinkos giftcard. not only do i make several trips to kinkos to get both personal and school projects printed, but i just love being there. so much fun product and options for printing. can i get a holler from miss shea dodson who frequently visited the flagstaff location with me this past school year, simply because she had a car and she is the bomb.

anyways, i thought this was rather entertaining. the cool thing is, this is not just stuff that i want just to want, it is all stuff that i use to further grow and explore my passions of graphic design and photography. well, i guess the planner is more just for me... but hey i use it to keep track of sessions and design deadlines so THERE, it works. i love that i love what i do. so much so that when given the choice, i'd take a giftcard to kinkos or a memory card reader over a DVD or a cute scarf.

SPEAKING of birthdays...

my handsome and thoughtful boyfriend along with my beautiful and talented sister threw me and mel a surprise party!

we went to a nice dinner with my two best friends natalie and jamie and headed back to our house for (what we thought was going to be) a chill hang out session with some DQ. little did we know that TONS (almost all) of our family and friends were at home awaiting our arrival to yell SURPRISE! the house was PACKED with crazy company, delicious desserts, and fabulous fun (ya like all those alliterations?). it was perfect, absolutely perfect. perfectly planned, carried out, and enjoyed. BIG big thanks are in order to joel and kristin obviously, as well as the henderson/pinch crew that helped make much of the night happen, and all of my friends and family in attendance. im SO glad i know each and every single one of you. thank you for making my birthday so special and memorable!
