him again... slice of life.

he texted me on saturday morning, it read: "hey what are you doing today? im gonna come up after work!" (up meaning to flagstaff) i.was.stoked. all i knew was i had a photo session with mel & kris at around 5:30 and he was scheduled to arrive at 5:15 so it'd be tight, but we could manage. he got to campus, jumped in my car, and we headed over to the session. not exactly the way i prefer to welcome my "out of town guests" but we both knew i had a job to do.

but let me tell you, he proved himself again. and again and again. i felt bad for having to drag joel along to the session when he would only be spending a few hours in flagstaff anyway, but without even being asked he carried my bag, switched out my lenses, helped set up props, and put away mel's cello (who knows how he did that last one). and yes thats my shoot sac strapped over his chest in the picture... adorable.

as if all of the assistance wasnt enough... he even managed to snap this photo from his camera phone. look at my boy exercising the rule of thirds and everything! im so proud.

so in conclusion, the award for the best assistant ever goes to mr. joel henderson.
