the best of 2009

well another year has come and gone and its time to say goodbye to 2009. if you remember last year i posted the best of 2008, a post highlighting my favorite shots from each of 2008's sessions. this year ive decided to keep it going by presenting the best of 2009. ive created a slideshow that cycles through one photo from each of the 42 sessions ive had this year. now if you think back to last year's slideshow when i was freaking out over 30 sessions then you can imagine how i feel about FORTY TWO this year! completely overwhelmed and blessed that ive been given another year of doing what i absolutely cant get enough of. what i love. i feel SO so so lucky to have been given the opportunity to meet and work with so many great people month after month after month this year. last december i probably couldnt have told you half the names of the people you're about to see in this slideshow and now not only do i know them, but ive gotten to hear their stories... how they met, what their plans are, what they like, why they're here. i never would have known these things about these people and i just think its so cool that i do now, all because i got to spend an hour or so behind my camera looking at them through the lens. im thankful and indebted to these people who allow me to do what i love and who give me a chance to use my passions that the Lord has graciously given me.

while 2009 has been unbelievably great, im looking ahead to 2010 for many reasons. first of all, because it has the number 10 in it and its been a while since thats happened. second, because its new. a real new year. time for new memories, new people, new photos, new designs, new ideas, new babies, even new movies like dear john (obsessed). new everything. its all just gonna be new in 2010, and nothing excites me more. i cant wait to share all of this "new" with you. but thanks for stickin with me through the old.
