i met up with brea and charlie this evening to take some fun photos of the two. these are my favorite types of sessions, so laid back and easy going... just documenting just... because. brea and charlie were the perfect people for this job. i first met brea when we played on the same softball team way back when. we've somewhat stayed in contact (love that facebook) over the years and i'd noticed she seemed to have a new man introduced to her life. these two ASU sun devils went to high school together and we introduced through mutual friends. i was thrilled when we decided to meet up for some photos. now i know why i was so excited... brea and charlie were so easy and fun to photograph. they claimed they didnt know what they were doing so i assured them that i was plenty bossy enough with posing and it'd be fine. but i soon found out that that was just their cover. they were completely wonderful with every shot! on command... sitting, standing, leaning, sitting again, everything. it was a joy to watch how comfortable and content they are with eachother and those are two words that definitely come to mind when i look at these images. they took my direction like CHAMPS and were so willing to do whatever it took for me to get the shot i was after. i was afraid they'd have some doubts running through their minds when i took them to this random office complex to start shooting but nope, they went along with that like it was no big thang (yes, i just said thang). we ended the session near/on a hotel golf course... very fitting since charlie is a big fan of the sport. check out the final product of this evenings session and pay close attention to their adorable height difference... sorry guys i had to mention it : )
one of my favorites....
seeeeee? i told ya. i dont really remember what i said up there ^ but if it was anything about how great these two were are workin the camera then i told ya so. im so glad i got to spend the evening with brea and charlie, getting to know them a little bit more and watching them know eachother so well. here's to something like what these two have for everyone : )
on another note, its fathers day. and i love my dad for sooooo many reasons.
a few random ones would be:
1. he does little things that remind me he is still a boy. like getting reeeaaal excited when ice cream is headed his way or shaking his presents before he opens them.
2. but at the same time he is the biggest and strongest MAN that i know. he continuously provides, supports, and leads my family.
3. he is always singing or making up random phraseology. this is something i might get in trouble for publicly announcing. but i wish the whole world knew the dave barber who randomly bursts into song (which he makes up) in the car or uses phrases like "you're the bomb, you're blowin up, you're really huge"... which is a personal favorite.
anyways, this turned into a tribute to my dad post but he deserves it. love that guy.
happy dads day to all you out there, hope it was a good one.

laughed outloud at #3...not in a making-fun sort of way, but because i think its cute to know little things about our dads who put up a big strong front but are big, soft-hearted, goofs! :) LOVE it. LOVE our dads :)
