magnets.

quick, easy, & totally customized.

all you need is...

1. glass pebbles (larger works best)
2. small magnets (able to hold)

3. strong glue (like this or from a glue gun)
4. magazines, any paper source you want to make a magnet out of.

its super easy.

the process:
1. look through magazines or different paper sources for patterns, pictures, designs, etc. find stuff you like, find stuff that inspires you, find stuff that matches your cute kitchen or dorm room.

2. have a glass pebble handy to place over the stuff you find to see if it would make a good magnet. chances are it will make a GREAT magnet.

3. trace around the pebble and cut out the image/design/pattern/whatever it is.

4. squeeze some glue onto the flat surface of the pebble (there will be a raised side and a flat side).

5. press the cut out image/design/pattern/whatever it is onto the pebble and push HARD to get all the air bubbles out. make sure the paper fits onto the pebble just like how you cut it out.

6. let that dry for a bit.

7. squeeze another drop of glue onto the magnet and stick it on the back. again push HARD.

8. let that dry for a bit.

9. put on your fridge or other magnetic surface and ENJOY!!!!!!!!

ive shown a few examples of some that ive done, first time doin this project so im no professional. but hey, they're magnets. and they fit perfectly in our little "closet kitchen" with white metal cabinets. i may try to print some small photos for a few of them, i cant decide if they would magnify and distort my face or not....? we'll see. oh by the way, all of the supplies can be found at a craft store, maybe even walmart.

this project is compliments of the lovely miss emilie. she's the pro at it. really.

hahaha thanks for the shout out steph :)
and really, i am not a pro at it lol.
im flattered that you, the queen of cute crafty things, would take an idea from little old me!

p.s. your face will get distorted if you print it on just regular printer paper (unless you seal it somehow, maybe mod podge? i havent tried it yet...), if its actually on glossy photo paper you should be fine :)
