so remember that contest i hosted a while ago? well amanda was the winner! and i couldnt have been more thrilled. last summer amanda, david, and i got together to take some maternity photos before little miss gracelyn made her debut into the world. today, the beautiful 6 month old joined us for some family photos in scottsdale. and when i say beautiful, i sure do mean it. gracelyn is SUCH a precious little girl with a perfectly round face that just melts my heart. what a joy it is for me to have this opportunity to continue working with such a sweet family. amanda, david, and gracelyn are just having so much fun building their new family together and it was a blessing to document that. the lovely alyssa (yes, from alyssa & dan) was a HUGE help behind the camera keeping gracies attention occupied. what an awesome aunt she is! gracelyn was just as happy as could be and she just did her thing all morning. see for yourself...a quick side story about why i think amanda is just so great: i mentioned to her that a cute idea may be to spell their last name with some kids blocks for a few of the photos. she quickly emailed back saying she loved the idea, didnt have any blocks, but had just ordered some online... talk about efficiency! i love working together with my subjects to come up with better photos. plus, gracie seemed to like putting them in her mouth.

i sure hope i can continue to watch this sweet little girl get bigger. im blessed to know such good people like amanda and david and i know they have many fun and memorable years ahead of them, especially with this little girl thrown in the mix : ) thanks for the fun morning you guys, hope you enjoy the photos.
