the final results

here is what i finally came up with for the donut shop logo i have been working on. i decided on Glazed for the final logo: Hole in the Wall was the runner up:truth be told... i am not all that happy with either of these. somewhere along the process of drawing these 137623 times and have serious computer and printing issues, i just lost control of this one. i feel more excited about my ideas and concepts that i have for the future projects related to Glazed than i do the logo itself. which makes sense because this is for a computer imaging class (logos, 3D characters, symbols) MY interest and passion is for graphic design (layouts, typography, page design). the good news is that this project keeps going! our next task is to create a double spread ad for our restaurant! we are supposed to be advertising something like an event or a grand opening. i already have so many ideas for this one i cant stand it. and this is waaayyy more in my element, design wise, so i am just amped to get started. so amped that i even came straight home and made this up so i could get an idea out of me, even though im sure this is not even close to what my final ad will look like.

well, im off to go get some dinner. which i am super happy about. ya know those times when you are just excited to eat? this is one of those times.
