anneliese & marc... engaged!

they have the coolest story, anneliese & marc. its just all so cool. marc is from turkey, actually he was born in spain. he came out here to phoenix where he attended seminary. also where he first heard of the lovely miss anneliese. marc and his dad do some cooperative missions work from turkey with anneliese's dad here in the valley. the two finally met when marc spoke at anneliese's church during his 2 years at seminary and, as marc likes to put it, "thats when she really noticed me". and the rest is history. they began dating, got engaged, and said their goodbyes for a while as marc would be headed back to turkey. while marc is in town visiting this month, it made sense to take some engagement photos. even in my short time of interacting with them, i can see how complete these two make eachother. they are so comfortable and relaxed with one another, and you can tell they just take care of eachother. marc's face just lights up when he looks at his future wife and you can sense anneliese's comfort when she's in his arms. its no doubt god has ordained this marriage. it was my privilege to document their engagement this morning. the (somewhat) cool morning air graced our time in tempe, which made for a casual and relaxed shoot giving us some great images. anneliese and marc will be tying the knot in february and i am thrilled to say that i will have a front row seat as their photographer along with ashley boelter who shot with me at jeff & erica's wedding! this is what we came up with this morning:

i really like this shot. its different. symmetrical. modern? all good things.

neutral tones! neutral tones! neutral tones! they just do it for me.

this is what i was talking about when marc looks at her...

because marc lives in turkey, anneliese shared "whenever i want to see him i just have to travel." to which i replied "bummmerrrrr." marc and anneliese enjoyed traveling around spain this summer, where anneliese bought this cute green fan. she brought it along today to add a little flair to some of the photos and of course i fully supported that. LOVE when people bring props to sessions.

they're just such good people. and im honored that they chose to work with me to highlight such a huge part of their lives.

anneliese & marc: you guys brought your A game today. february isnt too far off and im already looking forward to working with you again!

im headed back up to flag in a couple of hours. im super excited to listen to "Watcha Say" by Jason DeRulo on repeat the entire way up. ok maybe not the ENTIRE way but definitely more than 6 times.

everyone better be enjoying their saturday!

I LOVE that song too!!! If you haven't ever listened to Imogen Heap's full album you have to (thats the song Jason DeRulo sampled)!

Also, well done on Erica's wedding pics! They're gorgeous! Enjoy Flagg, see you in a few weeks! :)
